Ingredient Inquiries

Porphose produces its own Porphyridium cruentum culture conditioned media, the marine-derived ingredient at the heart of our finished products. We supply this ingredient to a small number of formulators who are building something we believe in. If that sounds like you, we'd love to have a conversation.

What this is

Porphyridium cruentum is a red marine microalga. The conditioned media is the cell-free liquid produced during cultivation, rich in sulfated polysaccharides and other bioactive compounds with documented anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties.

Inside Porphose finished products, the conditioned media functions as a cosmetic ingredient. For ingredient buyers, we supply it as a bulk liquid for incorporation into your own formulations.

Who we typically work with

  • Skincare and personal care brands developing soothing, sensitive-skin, or marine-themed lines
  • Veterinary product formulators working on canine and feline atopic dermatitis
  • Researchers and academic groups studying marine bioactives
  • Adjacent product categories where the ingredient profile makes sense

We are selective about who we work with. We're more interested in long-term partnerships with brands and developers we respect than in moving high volumes through unknown channels.

What we don't publish here

We don't publish pricing, lead times, or specifications on this page. Every project is different. Volume, format, packaging, documentation requirements, and timeline all change the conversation. We'd rather understand what you're building first and then talk about whether and how we can help.

How to start the conversation

Email Hello@Porphose.com with:

  • Your company name and website
  • A short description of the product or formulation you're developing
  • Your application area (skincare, veterinary, research, or other)
  • Estimated annual volume, even as a rough range
  • Your timeline

We typically respond within three business days. If there's a fit, we'll set up a call to walk through your requirements and what we can offer.

For confidential conversations, we're happy to sign a mutual NDA before we get into specifics.
